This simple shiboridashi is a piece that is characteristic of Andrzej Bero's pieces, with the clean form and textured glazed, which is created by layering a light milk glaze over a dark stoneware clay. The streaks of black and red motifs add a playful character to this piece. The red motifs were inspired by the Tibetan Norbu, which translates to 'Three Jewels' representing spiritual trinity of the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
The stoneware body of this tea ware retains more heat and thus suits it better to brew aged whites, oolongs, black teas/hongchas and darks. Greens and yellows can still work with stoneware pots but require more careful control of temperature and steeping.
A pretty and easy to use pot suitable for drinking alone or with another 1 or 2 companions.
