This simple shiboridashi is a piece that is characteristic of Andrzej Bero's pieces, with the clean form and textured glazed, which is created by layering a light milk glaze over a dark stoneware clay. The lid is carved with a motif that reminds us of the Japanese wave patterns called seigaiha.
The stoneware body of this tea ware retains more heat and thus suits it better to brew aged whites, oolongs, black teas/hongchas and darks. Greens and yellows can still work with stoneware pots but require more careful control of temperature and steeping.
A pretty and easy to use pot suitable for drinking alone or with another companion.
