'Tis the season to be drinking! Something warm, soothing and comforting! So we have curated a set of 4 Liu Bao Teas 六堡 to sit with during rainy days! Liubaos are dark teas 六堡 traditionally made in Wuzhou in Guangxi, China. The harvested leaves undergo an age-old fermentation process using a 'steam fixing' method, which results in the characteristic mellow, smooth and earthy flavours. Sure reminds us of the forest after the rain.
The set includes 15g each of:
Liubao 2011 : the classic calming Liubao, with sweet earthy notes.
Betel Nut Fragrance Liubao 2016: traditionally made by the Yao-Tribe in south China, with flavours reminiscent of betel nuts
Camphor Fragrance Liubao 2018: Yunnan Yongde leaves blended with smoked tea leaves from Kokang Myanmar, fermented at 5 degrees celcius higher than most liubaos to develop a Camphor-like fragrance.
