Meizi 美子, Tainan, Taiwan
Meizi first fell in love with art, then she met tea. Her real joy is in making teaware with forms and textures that are creative and artistic, and developed the functionality of teaware over time as she accumulated tea-brewing experience.
Meizi's most distinctive style are playful and bold in their expression of forms and textures in an attempt to revitalise the traditional look of teaware. She incorporates natural elements, inspired by her rural childhood in Chia Yi. These tea scoops are decorated with either a ginko flower or a dandelion motif. She had actually intended the 'dandelion' to be a puff of cloud, but we think interpreted it differently!
