Yunnan is widely acknowledged as the land where Camellia Sinensis aka ‘true tea plants’ originated from, a fact attested by the abundance of aged wild grown tea trees there! This rich hongcha is harvested from trees of at least 300 years of age, grown at an altitude of 2000-2600masl! Made from the Purple Bud 紫芽苞 cultivar, which is of Assamica type, the brew is rounded with malty honey sweetness layered with scented wood and a floral nose, plus a hint of tangerine bite. A tea we want to wake up to! Everyday!
