We first got acquainted with Yukiko's items in a shop exhibiting ceramic pieces from Japan in Taipei! After falling in love with a teacup that is still our current favourite, we seeked to discover more of her pieces! We think her gaiwan pieces tend to have a rounded compact proportion, which gives it a somewhat 'kawaii' form. This particular one is adorned with the grooves, which together with the soft cream glaze, gives the gaiwan a pure and clean character!
The glazed nature of the gaiwan suits it to brew all types of teas.
