We first got acquainted with Yukiko's items when we chanced upon them in at an exhibition in Taipei! As a ceramic artist who also brews tea, she makes teaware that are practical for tea brewing. We think her gaiwan pieces have a rounded compact proportion, which gives it a somewhat 'kawaii' form. The maroon line is an unglazed portion of the clay, which you can see too from the exposed clay at the base! This stoneware gaiwan is perfect for kungfu tea brewing, and a good size to brew with friends. The glazed nature are also suited to brew all types of tea neutrally, and is recommended for the tea brewing who enjoys a range of teas!
