Local Korean porcelain clay body with rice husk glaze on top side of lid and top half of teapot.
Glaze interiorly with transparent glaze.
Fired in gas and electric hybrid kiln.

If the other pots in this series appear like they were aged because we imagined they were retrieved from a sunken ship, this one we imagined was just left in a forgotten garden for many centuries! The porcelain clay body is coated with nuka glaze made from rice husk, giving it the beautiful blue and yellow specks embedded in the milky texture. The lower half of the teapot is comparatively unglazed and rather porous, and may colour with use. As the unglazed surface is already 'stained', we imagine the tea colouration will complement the smudges on the teapot.
This pot is suitable to brew all teas because of the porcelain clay body and the transparent glaze in the interior of the teapot.
