Not all Hongchas are made the same! This batch is organically grown in the Himalayan region of Nepal, from cultivars sourced from good quality tea growing regions in Japan, Taiwan and China. These cultivars were given the space to nurture and develop into its own character in the pristine highlands of the Himalayas at an altitude of 1850m, and eventually arrived in our tea cups. Only 12 kg of this tea was batch was made, thus this is a small batch produce indeed! The flavours are a testament to the dedication of the estate owner Bachan. A gentle tea with subtle floral rose fragrance, ripe grape sweetness on a base note of scented wood, we especially love its long lasting smooth aftertaste! This is one tea we would like our connoisseur tea friends to try!
