We don't have a satisfactory translation for 通天香 Tong Tian Xiang, which roughly translates to sky-filling fragrance, thus we used the name of a very similar Dancong called Ginger Flower Dancong. Since they belong to the same broad category of Ginger Flower Fragrance 姜花香, which is a naturally evolved bush identified from the original Phoenix Mountains Dancong group of tea plants. Though we are not fans of ginger, we were drawn to the refreshing sweetness, which actually reminds us of very green grapes or some candy from childhood, with floral notes and a creamy texture. We learnt from our tea friends that candy note is that of candied ginger but that didn't make use enjoy the brew any lesser! This batch is made from 102 year old trees at an altitude of 1100m, thus the flavours are soothing and last many steeps!
