Dancongs refer to teas that are traditionally grown and drank by the Teochew people on Phoenix Mountains in Guangdong. Known for its naturally occurring flavours that mimic fruits and flowers, they are well loved by novices and connoisseurs alike. This is a comparatively lighter-oxidized Dancong made from 柚花香 You Hua Xiang cultivar harvested from Shen Ya Village 深垭村, from 94 year old trees at 800masl. The resultant brew has a light fruity sweetness that is similar to pomelo , with a white floral nose that becomes more apparent with multiple steeps!
