Yunnan Golden Snails is a Dian Hong 滇红, which is a term referring to black tea or Hongcha grown in Yunnan. This batch is grown at 1380m on 云盘山 Yun Pan Mountain in Puer City. The tea farmer-maker Mr Yang explained that this tea is made from single furry buds, which after oxidation, goes through a pan firing process over wood fire to shape and develop the caramel sweetness. The tea is smooth and uncomplicated, with a cacao sweetness and a hint of ripe fruits! No milk and sugar needed to enjoy the flavours!
