Hello this dairy cow of a teapot! With a elegant beautiful form, this quirky minimalistic teapot is made of iron rich clay painted with white terra sigillata clay slip (a very fine gravity sieved type of clay), which would necessitate the pot undergoing firing 3 times. The iron rich nature of this clay would mean this teapot is more suited for teas requiring higher brewing temperatures. A perfect sized teapot for kungfu brewing of multiple steeps to fulling enjoy the evolving flavours of the tea leaves! The white slip is slightly porous may progressively change colour over time with use, which Mr Hong likens to the teapot maturing in its character over time!
