Dancongs 单丛 refers to a category of teas traditionally produced and drank by the Teochew people in Guangdong. Grown on Phoenix Mountains among rocky terroir, this group of tea is loved for its naturally occurring fragrances that is inherent in the tea leaves. The Song Zhong 宋种 is named so as the cultivar was recorded to be grown since the Song Dynasty. This batch is made from leaves harvested from 106 year old trees near Da An Village at about 850m above sea level. We love the lychee sweetness and floral highlights in this tea!
