Harvest: Pre Qingming 2022
The elusive yellow tea, with the fewest members in its category, and exclusively produced in China. The most representative of which will have to be Junshan Yinzhen. Originally grown on the tiny less than 1 kilometer square of Junshan Island within Dongting Lake in Yueyang prefecture of Hunan, this batch hails from the shores on mainland Yueyang. Yellow teas tend to develop a more herbal dry grass note especially when allowed to age for 6 - 12 months, before which, they taste more similar to green teas.Made from a cultivar local to the region, this tea brews a light roasty melon seeds fragrance with notes of dry grass with a medium body. It's an incredibly rare and expensive tea, so we hope you are as excited as we are!
