This tea is a type of Dian Hong 滇红, which refers black tea or Hongcha grown in Yunnan. This one is grown at 1200m at 大寺乡 which translates to Big Shrine Village. The tea is made from a combination of cultivars, including Mei Zhan, Jing Xuan, Ruan Zhi Oolong and Huang Dan. The resulting tea is fragrant with fruity and woody notes. The leaves last many steeps to mellow into a more floral sweetness on the 4th steep onwards. No milk and sugar needed to enjoy the flavours!
