Wakocha 和紅茶 refers Japanese Hongcha, or black tea in western terms. The flavours tend to be milder, more delicate and less astringent, which reminded us of Taiwanese Hongcha! Maybe because historically the Japanese did introduce Hongcha cultivation into Taiwan! The Benifuuki cultivar is know for its anti-allergy benefits and popular among Japanese drinkers during seasons of hay fever! For us, we just love the floral highlights of this sweet delicate black tea - no sugar or milk is needed to enjoy the brew! This lot brews better with mineral water to produce a sweet and smooth brew.
