We love the simplicity of this teapot, with a smart elegant form and a rustic glazed appearance. Fired in a wood-fired kiln when Mr Hong at 1280 degrees celcius, this teapot is unglazed and suitable for darker oxidized teas. The black glaze just allows a peek of the original dark clay body at the bottom, which is a pretty little contrast.
Mr Hong does not often make use of a wood kiln as he feels for the environment - a wood kiln produces more smoke after all! This is the first we have received!
