A traditional Korean pottery style that is similar to the Japanese Mishima technique, the buncheong style was introduced to Japan in the 16th century, by Korean potters who were enslaved during the wars of the time. Despite its dramatic history, the buncheong style is a simple folk style for wares of daily use. Mr Park rendition is rustic and simple.
