A beautifully dark and rustic piece by Mr Park Yeon Tae, with a silver painted knob on the lid for some contrast, this teapot is made in the traditional korean style of kyusu, though crafted to be slightly smaller. The wooden handle is made from Zelkova wood and is kept less refined for a more raw style of aesthetics. Mr Park's conscientious craftsmanship is seen here with the shaved spiral texture on the surface of the teapot, which adds an angular texture that brings out the rustic character of the glaze. We like this teapot for white teas, oolongs, hongchas and dark teas.
