The artist in Meizi has a soft spot for gingko motifs. Gingko is also well loved by the Japanese culture for its symbolism of endurance and resilience. Fitting that she uses the gingko as a motif here as the lid is coated with Japanese glaze made with real gold! Meizi combines different textures here to lighten up the seriousness of gold here with the cheerful canary yellow base. This Gaiwan is neutral and suitable to brew all teas.
