Meizi combines a simple form with textured surface of layered clay slip on dark glaze to create this beautiful piece reminiscent of chalkboards. This is one of her smaller gaiwans, which is a nice size for kungfu style brewing. We love its cheerful bright colour, which is done almost rustically, and not gaudy. The glaze interior of the gaiwan renders it suitable for brewing all teas!
