The traditional stamped and etched style of Korean Buncheong is similar to the Japanese Mishima Ceramics, but this folk style of pottery actually originated in Korea and was introduced into Japan when Korean potters were abducted there. The folk Buncheong wares by Mr Oh Jung Tak is brought to life with his confident and clean stamps and beautiful contrast, which is no easy feat as this stamped-and-etched style of buncheong wares do not allow for errors, thus each piece is indeed painstakingly made!
