The exquisitely made lid is inspired by the woody crumbly texture of charcoal, which Mei Zi 美子 created with such likeness to the real charcoal that it almost look unlike ceramic! These are not air tight and can be use to store small quantity of teas to be brewed at a tea ceremony. Unless meant for teas requiring further oxidising, these are not meant as long term tea leaves storage. This little tea caddy are elegant addition to your tea brewing utensils.
