Mei Zi 美子 is a Tainan-based potter who draws inspiration from exploring nature as a child growing up in rural Chia Yi. Gingko flower are common features in her pieces, because she likes its simple elegance and symbol of humble endurance. This cheerful Gaiwan features a gingko flower motif on the lid, and is a whimsical additional to the tea table. Unglazed interiorly, this vessel is still suited to brew most teas, but may be slightly more inclined to all teas except for green teas.
