Wakocha 和紅茶 refers to Japanese Hongchas with milder, more delicate and less astringent flavours compared to western black tea counterparts, somewhat similar to Taiwanese Hongchas. Benifuukis are comparatively more flamboyant among the wakochas! A hybrid cultivar with deep Indian roots, involving parent plants of Benihomare with Indian Assamica origins and MakuraCD86 with Darjeeling Sinensis links! The resultant complex brew has muscatel inclinations with floral highlights and honeysuckle sweetness.
