Lapsang Souchong 正山小种 was invented in Wuyi Mts during the Qing Dynasty as poor quality teas to be sold to foreigners - but times have changed! This batch is harvested from century-old trees growing among wild orchids surrounded by bamboo forests at 1200masl. Harvested from the local indigenous cultivar 群体种（菜茶）, the leaves are finished the traditional way, but with a lighter pine-smoked process. Brews a soothing cup like smoky dried longans, with a mild mineral base testament to the rocky natural environment of Wuyi Mountains!
