Minami Sayaka 南爽, is a cultivar well loved for its milky floral fragrance! Registered in 1991, the demure fragrant brews belies the hybrid’s wild and complex parentage, including the Miyazaki-native Takachiho, Indian Assamica and Caucasus cultivars! The flavours of this oolong are more similar to the lighter oxidized Taiwanese and South Fujianese oolongs, but with a floral nose reminiscent of orchids! Embedded in a sweet buttery base, this oolong is delightful and easy to enjoy, for novice and connoisseurs alike!
