As Abraham is an artist first and came to tea later, his works tend to be more artistic and creative - he does not enjoy being a production artist churning out similar pieces, and yearns to explore new styles each time he fires! He is keen to explore wood kiln firing more deeply and makes less gas kiln fired pieces these days.
We love the way this little hand pinched cup sits in our hands, with little grooves where the finger fits snugly! Made with Singaporean Jalan Bahar clay, which tends to be lighter in colour, this cup is glazed interiorly and exteriorly with ash glaze, which suits this cup to tea drinking - we discovered when we sat down with Abraham to test his various glazed cups with tea! This cup has been bathed in tea to remove the earthy residue post firing.
