One of the earlier works of Abraham, this stoneware cup made from a iron-rich of Singaporean clay was fired in the gas kiln at just the right temperature and duration, and the right thickness of his own formulated shino glaze to cascade to the current level! We like how the glaze and clay combination appears like snow melting over a rock, contrasting the milky shino glaze with the rustic stoneware texture! Abraham is an artist first and found tea after, and his creative style shows in the beautiful form of his cup and his choice of clay and glaze. Combined with his obsession with firing parameters, his hand-pinched pieces are bold and delicate at the same time.
His pieces have been bathed in tea to remove the clay flavours and to ensure that they are suited for tea tasting.
