Meizi made these teacups with rugged edges, modelled after her memory of admiring rolling hills of her hometown in Chiayi, Taiwan. We love how the rugged edges translate into a rustic feel. Coupled with the rough textured glaze, the cups feel like they are made from stone!
Stoneware body
Exterior unglazed, textures achieved by layering pink clay slip over brown slip.
Glazed internally.
Oxidation fired in an electric kiln at 1230 degree celcius.
