Khaki Seigaiha Shiboridashi by Andrzej Bero
Ceramic Artist: Andrzej Bero (Warsaw, Poland)
We love how Andrzej creates textures in his pieces! Here, he layers his milky glaze over a dark stoneware base, and decorates the lid with a Japanese Seigaiha design - a design he frequently uses in his works! This work is characteristically Bero in form and texture! As a a fervent tea brewer, his pieces are intuitively designed for comfortable functional brewing!
This Shiboridashi is a good size for solo brewing or drinking with another companion. The stoneware nature of this pot retains slightly more heat, thus is more suitable for aged whites, oolongs, black teas/ hongchas or dark teas!
Stoneware clay body glazed interiorly and exteriorly, fired in an electric kiln at 1200 degrees celcius.
