Industrial Khaki Shiboridashi by Andrzej Bero
Ceramic Artist: Andrzej Bero (Warsaw, Poland)
The Japanese shiboridashi was originally made for brewing steamed green teas - the flat shiboridashi pieces by Andrzej Bero are meant for the same! This shibo is very 'Bero' in personality - simple forms, elegantly contrasting colour of lid and body, and a rustically glazed lid! As a tea ware maker who is also a tea lover actively brewing teas, his pieces are functionally made for comfortable brewing!
This Shiboridashi is a good size for brewing for solo brewing. Despite the stoneware make, the wide opening suits the pot for brewing teas requiring lower temperature, like green teas and light oolongs.
Stoneware clay body glazed interiorly and exteriorly, fired in an electric kiln at 1200 degrees celcius.
