Handmade Anji Baicha Spring 2026

Don’t be tricked by the ‘baicha’ aka ‘white tea’ in its name. A green tea this is! Made from the cultivar Bai Ye No. 1 白叶一号, it looks ‘whiter’ than most greens due to the lower chlorophyll content, resulting in higher levels of theanine, thus a brew that is smoother, rounder and sweeter. This batch is harvested early in April 2026, from an altitude of 900masl, and hand-processed by our friend Sister Cui! Enjoy a soft creamy cup with cucumber sweetness and a light fragrance of baked melon seeds, with a clean sweet lingering aftertaste!
