Forest Shiboridashi by Andrzej Bero

$140.00Price

Ceramic Artist: Andrzej Bero (Warsaw, Poland)

The Japanese shiboridashi was originally made for brewing steamed green teas - the flat shiboridashi pieces by Andrzej Bero are meant for the same! This green shibo is decorated with a more flowy glaze layered on top of a more viscous one to create the pretty yet rustic textured surface.

This Shiboridashi is a good size for brewing for solo brewing or drinking with another companion. Despite the stoneware make, the wide opening suits the pot for brewing teas requiring lower temperature, like green teas and light oolongs.

Stoneware clay body glazed interiorly and exteriorly, fired in an electric kiln at 1200 degrees celcius.
