Ebony Cloud Shiboridashi by Andrzej Bero
Ceramic Artist: Andrzej Bero (Warsaw, Poland)
We love Andrzej Bero pieces for its simple form, subtle layered texture and elegant personality! This shibo contrasts the black body with a cream lid, with a splash of ash glaze on the black for a subtle texture - like a wood-kiln fired feel on an electric kiln fired work! As a tea brewer himself, his pieces are also functionally made for daily brewing! He is a proponent of kungfu-style brewing, where leaves are steeped multiple times to experience the evolving flavours!
This Shiboridashi is a good size for solo brewing or drinking with another companion. The stoneware nature of this pot retains slightly more heat, thus is more suitable for aged whites, oolongs, black teas/ hongchas or dark teas!
Stoneware clay body glazed interiorly and exteriorly, fired in an electric kiln at 1200 degrees celcius.
