Anxi Tie Kwan Yin 安溪铁观音 Spring 2023

Northern Fujian is known for the darkly oxidized Wuyi Mountain oolongs, while the gem of Southern Fujianese oolongs is definitely the lighter TKYs! Harvested from the famous traditional TKY cultivar, but processed with the relatively recent trend of lightly oxidizing the leaves, the modern Anxi TKYs are well liked for its elegant sweet vegetal flavours. This batch has a green sweetness akin to sweet corn and vanilla, embedded in a medium bodied brew, bringing across a creamy liquor with orchid floral nose! Perfect for tea drinkers who seek a delicate cuppa!
